I am a homebody. I don't go out a lot. I only go to other places when it's a necessity or a school requirement. I prefer to stay home, eat, and watch movies. But despite that, I still have this dream of going to other places outside the island. I also want to experience and see different places which I only see in the television, internet, or in the magazines. I've had the chance to travel to Iloilo since my father is from that place but only during Christmas or Summer Holidays. Aside from that, I've never been to any other places outside Negros Island.
I was greatly overjoyed when our teacher in our Creative Writing class announced that we will be having an island tour in Siquijor,a small island in Visayas famously known as the Isla del Fuego or Island of Black Magic.
Our trip was sheduled on the last week of August so we had all the time to prepare for the money and the things we will be needing.
August 28, 2015, 7:47 Am. The adventure starts now.
We bought our tickets for the 8:00 o'clock trip and of course took some groufie with my colleagues and teacher. I was a bit anxious at first because I usually get sea sick but it was later on replaced with the feeling of ecxitement for I was about to have the adventure of a lifetime.
Good bye Dumaguete for now! See you again in 2 days. :-)
Two hours later...
Hello Siquijor! I didn't expect this Island to be this beautiful. I was amazed to see the white sand beaches for the first time. Yeah! Though tired from the long trip, I still managed to look at the beautiful scenery and appreciated how God had wonderfully created such place.

Exhausted from the trip, we immediately proceeded to the house where we will be staying for three days.
August 29, 2015.
Today was the big day. We will be visiting some of the cool places in Siquijor which means, ROAD TRIP!!!
First stop, the Enchanted Balete Tree. I don't know how old this tree was but it was big. It even had a small pond below it where you can have a fish spa. Cool!
Next, Cambugahay Falls. At first I had my mind fixed to not swim or wet myself but who could resist the inviting water and the vine swing? Hahaha. It was such a great adventure. We had to walk a "thousand" steps just to reach Cambugahay Falls but it was all worth it.
There I am! The one wearing yellow. I was so tired so I had to stop. Haha. I was also very wet. LOL.
Next, we visited this old Catholic church in Lazi. It was cool!
Finally, we went to this awesome resort -- Salagdoong Beach Resort. The entrance fee is very affordable yet the place is really nice. The sea water looks so relaxing and the view was fantastic.
These are my colleagues. They smile at any camera pointed at them. Oh, and that includes me. Haha.
Since Ma'am Bev required us to have a "photoshoot", my partner (Lovely) and I decided to have it there. I had to choose three best shots and here they are:
Our theme was actually candid so all the angles I chose were somewhat "not scripted" but in reality it was all scripted. Haha.
This photo was taken on an abadoned guest house I guess. The walls and the lights were cool so I thought it'd be better to take some shots of her here. Well I didn't have a problem at all because Lovely looks good in any angle.
This next photo was taken on the northern side of the resort (if I am not mistaken). Who knew we were still wet when we took our photoshoot? Haha.
Lastly, this. Though Lovely's face was not very clear, I just love the effect of the silhouette on the walls and the lights with the sky and sea as background.
After this amazing time we had at Salagdoong Beach, we had to pack our stuffs and head back home. We were all tired and wet but we had a great great time.
Sadly, our adventure had to end the next day. We will surely miss this place but hopefully, we can come back and have some more adventure on this island next time. We will be ever grateful for Carlo's family who wholeheartedly welcomed us in their humble abode.
Til we meet again Siquijor! :-)
